We went here for an eighteenth birthday. As for the food, everything was Genoese-style: various savory pies, focaccia, fried anchovies, and trofiette with pesto, all cooked to perfection and very good. Good service with friendly and helpful staff.

I've been in Genoa for 35 years and didn't know Fontanegli. Fantastic place. A simple place for people who don't bother. When you arrive, the wine (white and red) is already on the table and you don't have to bother ordering it. Food: you eat what's available (we were fine: various appetizers with mushrooms, lean ravioli with mushroom sauce, roast beef and breaded mushrooms). The waiters are top-notch, the host is a real jerk; all you have to do is book!

Delicious food, fair prices, very friendly staff, a spectacular view... they also gladly hosted us for fundraising dinners for the Sherwood shelter for dogs... what more could you want... see you soon!

A classic osteria in the hills above Genoa, with a very rustic atmosphere and a friendly owner and waiter. The fixed menu is good value for the price. We'd definitely return for a day trip.

Siamo stati da Leo con mia mamma a luglio 2025 e abbiamo mangiato davvero bene. La cosa che mi è rimasta più impressa sono stati i ravioli al ragù con porcini… SEMPLICEMENTE PARADISIACI!
