We were staying at a hotel across the street. Our first night in Rome, we were returning from a dinner i the Monti district. My wife wanted Gelato, so we started stopping at each place we passed. She was very discouraged by what she saw, and decided to just go back to the hotel. As we were about to cross the Via Cavour, she spotted Gelateria Al CoNosseo. We stopped. Needless to say, she made me return every afternoon and after every dinner for the rest of our stay. I'm positive that should we return to Rome, it will be the first place we go.

We have been in Italy for 10 days and have tried many gelateria's. We found this one to be the best so far. The service was excellent as well. You might not expect such quality and care in such a tourist location but I definitely recommend this spot. The owner is young but has posted their certifications on the back wall.
