Al Castello In San martino in pensilis

I am from Puglia and after almost a year I returned with my wife for lunch at Al Castello and I brought a couple of friends from Basilicata (also foodies) knowing that I was on the safe side. In fact today, I had the clear feeling that Michele's cuisine has improved even further. Thank you.

Good restaurant... friendly staff... Excellent appetizer, homemade pasta and grilled meat and scamorza.... Excellent quality/price ratio. Recommended

Food Like My Italian Great Aunt Used to Make If you eat anywhere in the Campomarino and Termoli area, you HAVE to eat here. The food is AMAZING – made by the nonna in the kitchen, it made me think so much of my Italian great aunt’s cooking. The staff is friendly, attentive, and patient - if you’re working on your Italian. Eating here is like having a Sunday meal in someone’s home. Wonderful! Make sure that you call ahead for a reservation – ideally at least 1 day in advance. There are maybe 10 tables in the entire place.

La comida era increíblemente buena y los precios eran extremadamente bajos. Este es un lugar donde los lugareños van a diario. La hospitalidad fue increíble con la asociación de marido y mujer que envía perfectamente la comida de la manera más coordinada. La comida es fresca y muy sabrosa. Aquí solo encontrarás gente local comiendo para que disfrutes de una auténtica experiencia.

After many years I return to this place and rediscover the goodness of the homemade dishes and the kindness and hospitality of the owners. Congratulations, I will return as soon as possible.

I can say that it is my favorite restaurant.. discovered by chance it is always a certainty. I go monthly because it is a welcoming restaurant and they make me feel at home.. Michele the owner is an exquisite person. Highly recommended

Family atmosphere, good food, good wine list

Cucina di famiglia, della migliore tradizione del meridione. Il ristorante, a conduzione familiare, è situato in un locale dell'antico castello padronale del paese. E' consigliabile prenotare in anticipo, soprattutto la domenica e nelle festività. Il menù non è ampio, ma gustoso e di qualità, secondo l'antica tradizione molisana. Il vino della casa accompagna ottimamente il pasto. Ma si possono avere anche le etichette regionali. Per antipasto: prosciutto, salsiccia, capocollo, frittatina, gustose polpettine, stracciatella, la rinomata pampanella di San Martino (fatta in famiglia), patate al forno, friggitelli. Per il primo e' possibile scegliere tra fusilli (molisani) o chitarra, rigorosamente fatti in casa, con ragù di carne (agnello, maiale, vitello, salsiccia) secondo la migliore tradizione casalinga molisana. Il secondo è anch'esso limitato all'agnello, alla salsiccia ed alla scamorza alla griglia. Per i buongustai affezionati agli antichi sapori, la carne del ragù. I dolci, il caffè. Il tutto per una spesa media di circa 30 euro. Il personale e gentile ed efficiente.
