We returned after years, because we had a great time the first time, and even better the second time.
I hope they maintain this authenticity.

Years after our first visit,
the best thing of all is that... the menu may change, the decor may change, the table layout may change a bit, but the kindness, empathy, and appreciation for quality remain the same.
PS: I can't post photos because every time we come, we only remember... clean plates.

The first courses are good and homemade, as is the tiramisu. The tripe lacks a bit of technique.
Overall, worth a try.

I've been going to this osteria for many years.
Ever since the first time with my family, I've recommended it to everyone, I tell everyone about it!
It's a place steeped in atmospheres of the past, it reminds me of old Totò movies, it takes you back to that beautiful and authentic Italy of old.
The food is spectacular! Tourists should go there to taste authentic Roman cuisine, and everyone else, well, do you remember grandma's cooking? You'll find it here!!
The house specialties? Pork ribs and chicken cacciatore: I've never tasted more tender and juicy meat!
But also eggplant parmigiana, chicory, roulades, meatballs, and pasta dishes—all excellent!!
The owner is very friendly, and the waiters are very kind and professional.
Go there, you won't regret it...

Luckily, it's now run by other people, and I returned after four years. The last time I went, they served me a pizza with rancid ham. It was disgusting. When I complained, they told me they were closing and so they were using whatever they had in the kitchen. That was the standard of the old owners. I went back this evening, and at first glance, it seems acceptable. They still need to improve on the food. Excellent pizzeria, excellent service, prices... a little higher than average, but acceptable. To give a final review, I'll have to return.
I gave the new management another chance today, September 27, 2025. Never again. The supplì were cold, the mozzarella was still whole and diced. The calzone was filled with very low-quality ham, the dough separated into two pieces like an inedible piadina... it looked like pre-cooked pizza dough. It's best to cover the pizza with a cloth. The only edible thing was the tiramisu. Tombstone, I wouldn't recommend this pizzeria to my worst enemy. NEVER AGAIN.
