Splendid Roman site. Seven years ago we visited Al Biondo for the first time and this year (2024) we returned. Delicious from brusquetta, carbonara, tartufo, meat and coffee, satisfying dishes with good seasoning. A unique experience next to the Tiber.
They still have the chair where Paolo Pasolini had dinner and then left to meet death... Iconic.

A place where the great soul of old Rome envelops you from the first moment. Here traditions, handed down with love for generations, are transformed into dishes with an authentic, intense flavor and full of history. The room, large and welcoming, offers a unique view: it seems like looking out from the balcony suspended over the blonde Tiber.
We returned after years, and the feeling remained the same: a visceral passion for Roman cuisine, brought to life by a family that turns tradition into an art. People come here to savor the essence of Rome in dishes that are now increasingly rare elsewhere. :
Rigatoni alla pajata, coratella, coda alla vaccinara... each of these is a journey into the heart of the eternal city. Finally, the sour cherry and ricotta tart with its secret dough cooked in a wood oven. A slice and you're elsewhere, in a past of unforgettable flavours.
Restaurant to be recommended to those who want to experience Rome in its most authentic essence, the one that is never forgotten.

November 2024. I ate outdoors on the beautiful veranda overlooking the Tiber. Excellent typical Roman food, authentic place that exudes Romanness. Very friendly and kind managers. Highly recommended.

Prima volta per me in questa trattoria storica, dove fra l'altro sono capitata per caso una sera tardi . Tipico locale romano caratteristico, con una bella terrazza affacciata, appunto, sul "biondo" Tevere e una lunga storia alle spalle di clienti famosi (per citarne forse il più famoso, Pasolini). Il cibo è prettamente romano: fra gli antipasti puntarelle e carciofi alla giudia, gli immancabili primi della tradizione (cacio e pepe, carbonara e un'eccellente pajata, con un sugo veramente asciutto e saporito), e poi proposte di carne come l'abbacchio a scottadito ma anche di pesce. Buono il vino sfuso della casa; il servizio è informale ma molto gentile; il conto onesto: noi abbiamo speso circa 30 euro a persona per antipasto, primo, dolce, acqua e vino.
