Al Bersagliere Trattoria or Antica Trattoria In Padova

We were in this lovely tavern, by chance, on May 1st. We managed to find a table for three people, outdoors, going early, at opening time. The girls who seated us and served us were very kind and quick. Food was great! I recommend booking because being small and very popular, it is not easy to find a table. Prices are medium/high but in line with the proposal. We will definitely be back!

We were greeted by the very kind and attentive staff, so much so that they noticed, between one course and another, that we had run out of bread at the table and refilled it. We ordered two different appetizers (creamed cod and roasted octopus), as a first course spaghettoni with fresh sea urchins and for dessert the trifle. In addition to wine. Everything excellent. Very good food. A high quality restaurant.

I would even go back immediately! I didn't give full marks only because it seemed to me that the restaurant manager was a bit annoyed because I had lunch alone and with a dog in tow... Having said that, the place (I had lunch inside) is well-kept and elegant, so much so that I would have expected higher prices. The food is great! I ate rosole flan (very good) and bigoli with Paduan ragù (very good!) Highly recommended, also because it is located very close to the valley meadow and the Basilica of Sant'Antonio, but it absolutely does not seem like a tourist place.

Located "off the tourist radar" on a narrow street in old Padua, I consider it to be an unimposing authentic very good Italian restaurant. Open for luncheon and dinner, for the latter to avoid disappointment I would highly recommend you make a reservation. The kitchen is top, daily fresh produce from the local market are selected, and creatively prepared. This establishment ticks all the boxes for a very good restaurant dining experience; small rotating seasonal menu, moderate prices, it opens just for lunch and then closes and reopens for dinner, large enough for seating up to 40 persons, but small enough to ensure food quality and service always deliver an unforgettable experience. I would recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

A little expensive (50 euros each for a starter and a first course, a glass of house wine and half a dessert - a dessert 8 euros), both the octopus and the creamed cod are excellent, as are the spaghettoni with sea urchins. Too bad we were sitting next to the bathroom where every time the door was opened a terrible smell came out. The wine list was not brought or offered to us. Small and intimate restaurant in the center of Padua. Excellent traditional Paduan food. Kind, knowledgeable and efficient staff!

Excellent food, service excluding Miss Angelica and the elegant 72 year old gentleman, the rest is a joke!!!

Me and my husband have been here twice and both times the food and service were excellent. We had the bigoli, tris di mare and the risotto, and I highly recommend the risotto. The wine selection is good and the prices are reasonable too. Their pazientina is the best I have ever tried.

Io e mia moglie siamo stati in questa osteria a cena. Il locale è molto vicino alla Basilica del Santo. I piatti sono molto buoni, con ingredienti di qualità. Da migliorare un po' la quantità delle portate. Ho ordinato la piovra grigliata, nel piatto mi sono stati serviti 3 tentacoli molto piccoli (costo 16 euro). Sicuramente le porzioni potrebbero essere più abbondanti. Locale molto pulito e personale molto gentile. Prezzi nella media per la qualità offerta. Consiglio a tutti questo locale!
