29/05/2024: Just to counter some of the naysayers - if you’re looking for luxury, pampering, fancy food and drinks, and beautiful people - stay away. This is a small and simple B&B run by a lovely woman that speaks no English. Her food is similar to what you’d have at a friend’s place in Liguria. Homemade pasta, wine, cheese and bread. Yogurt, fruit, cheese, pastries and coffee for breakfast. Fresh, simple and tasty. If you’re lucky enough to get room #3, you’ll have a large patio where you’ll be treated to one of the most spectacular views you’ll ever experience. But the real attraction of this place is Villa Faraldi itself. After your breakfast, take an hour to wander the extraordinary streets of this medieval hill town. It’s astoundingly gorgeous and steeped in history. The narrow streets wind through the homes, many of which have been thoughtfully restored and maintained. Say hello to residents as they tend to their succulent gardens, and play with Balou, who appears to be the entire town’s dog. It is a wonderful, quiet and relaxing place far above the hubbub of the Mediterranean towns far below.
