Agriturismo Porcineta In Formello

Slightly outside Formello, surrounded by greenery. Nice place with ample parking, home-cooked food, and friendly staff. The house wine is cheap, the local vegetables are excellent. We had excellent fettuccine with meat sauce, as was the chicken with peppers. Reasonably priced, we had a great time. The only complaint is the chairs... the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on. Otherwise, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a casual, homey place.

We stayed on Easter Sunday, unfortunately I can't give 5 stars because: The menu included fried vegetables in batter and baked vegetables au gratin which we did not receive (this I understand because being a day of celebration with many people it can happen), when we told the waitress she apologized and put them in a container to take them home as we wanted. Good cheeses and cold cuts, good lasagna and trofie with artichokes and bacon. The menu included free-range chicken (it tasted like nothing) with potatoes roast and roast lamb which we didn't take because we don't eat it so I can't comment on what it was like. A nice menu at a more than good price of €35, but the surprise came when we paid €13 for half a liter of house wine (in my opinion €26 is a bit much for a liter of house wine).
