They carefully guide you through the excellent wines and superb cuts of meat, describing each dish with care and passion, as if you were a special guest in their home. We've been several times and each time we've felt pampered. Even though it's two hours from home, when we want to eat top-quality meat and treat ourselves to an extraordinary evening, we have no hesitation: we go to La Stalla. Argentinean agriturismo in Borgia, a few kilometers from Copanello. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable in explaining the meat specialties on offer. The prices are moderately high, but in line with the quality of the products (many locally sourced). All meats are served with special salts and homemade sauces. The traditional Argentine desserts are truly delicious, but the tartare deserves a special mention: exceptional. The dish we weren't so impressed with was the grilled caciocavallo (among the appetizers), partly because it was a bit pricey considering it's a specialty often found in the nearby area (Sila). The only complaint is that the chairs are too high compared to the tables, and especially for those with taller centimeters, the seating is a bit uncomfortable.
