Discovered by chance, on the way to a restaurant where I had dinner reservations. We stopped for an aperitif and to enjoy the sunset: simply EXCITING. Platters of quality cured meats and cheeses, and excellent wine. We'll be back for dinner one day because the dishes inspired us.

Fabulous dinner with a view! We spent an unforgettable evening on a magical terrace, surrounded by hills and a picturesque landscape, perfect for admiring a spectacular sunset. The quality of the food was excellent: the crostini with liver and lard pâté were simply stellar, while the sliced ​​steak was cooked to perfection. The dessert selection was also varied and delicious. The estate wine, recommended by the house, was excellent and practically evaporated as soon as it was served. The prices are fair and commensurate with the quality of the food and the atmosphere. The staff was very kind, even helping us purchase the estate's olive oil, although unfortunately only one variety was available. A little tip: bring insect repellent, because being in the hills, the occasional mosquito is inevitable, but nothing unbearable.

This review refers not to an overnight stay but to a summer dinner at sunset. A small place surrounded by greenery and with a beautiful view, a romantic atmosphere, and excellent local food. The place is basic, romantic, but very "down-to-earth." The staff is helpful.

The food is delicious and the view is unique. Most of the staff tried, but the reaction to me speaking only English was terrible. When paying, I was simply ignored. Great for locals, not recommended for tourists.

Restaurant with stunning view and very good food. We had a tagliere with nice bites to share. We also ordered the tartare di chianina which unfortunately came together with the main course. The burger is good and the tagliata di chianina very tasty (although could have been served bit warmer). Awesome red wine from the area. The sunset and the amazing view on Bolgheri is an awesome decor together with the nice food. The service though has definitely room for improvement. Our waiter asked another waiter to assist in choosing the wine, he advised some of the more expensive wines and was walking around with an air of not being overly interested and welcoming. All in all a very good evening, but what if the service would be two notches better…it would be totally awesome.

We ate and drank very well. Fresh, local products. Reasonably priced. The view from the terrace, overlooking the countryside below and the sea in the distance, is worth a stop. Locally produced wine and olive oil for sale just steps from your table. Helpful and friendly staff. I would gladly return...

Etwas abgelegen, wunderschöne Aussicht, sehr authentischer Ort, man fühlt sich wohl hier. Wir wollten nur einen Aperitivo nehmen und sind dann auch für das Nachtessen geblieben. Das Essen ist ganz ok und eher günstig. Der Wein und das Olivenöl waren super, wir haben direkt eingekauft.

Two cutting boards, very high quality and abundant, house-made rosé wine, desserts that are worth at least trying. The place on the hill offers a breathtaking view of the Tuscan hill of Castagneto Carducci that slopes down to the sea. Excellent food, starting from the toasted bridge bathed in a full-flavored oil, obviously home-made (I recommend buying it on site, 5-liter can, great price for great quality). Cutting boards with various cured meats, croutons and cheeses, a journey of flavors! Excellent and friendly welcome and prices certainly with an excellent quality-price ratio. Absolutely to try and enjoy the experience because it is worth it!
