Agriturismo Il Corniolo In Borgonovo val tidone

We had a truly positive experience, and will be back soon for lunch or dinner at this Agriturismo. The warm welcome and the exceptional quality of the food make Corniolo one of the best places in the province.

One of those places I thought no longer existed, a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. Federico, a superb chef, has managed to blend Piacenza flavors with Greek specialties. His very kind and friendly mother and father make you feel welcome, like an old friend returning home. The food is delicious; for starters, in addition to the delicious cold cuts, there were: carne salada, baked feta, plums with almonds and pancetta, and stuffed tomatoes. For the first course, the mousaka was fabulous; the pisarei e faso were very different from the classic recipe but delicious, and the tortelli were excellent. We didn't quite get to the second course; after the first course, we had the homemade berry panna cotta, which was excellent. Give it a try, it's truly worth it; we hope to return soon.

The view is beautiful, the food is excellent. I only stayed for dinner; I can't comment on the rooms. Located in a quiet and secluded spot, with a view of the entire Tidone Valley. Magnificent; in the evening, you can admire the sunset and the moonrise. The food is well-prepared and of high quality, with home-grown vegetables and fruit served in Piacenza-Greek combinations. Kindness and courtesy are evident.

An amazing place. I love a place like this where you can find some peace and quiet. The food is excellent, Federico is a helpful and welcoming person. If you have time and want to make a special day from Milan it doesn't take much. Time well spent. The tortelli with butter and sage are amazing. The salami is delicious

Immerso tra le vigne dei colli piacentini, l’agriturismo Il Corniolo è una piccola perla per chi cerca autenticità e gusto. L’atmosfera è quella calda e rilassata di una casa di campagna, dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato. La cucina è il vero punto forte: un incontro sorprendente tra la tradizione piacentina e la cucina greca, in un connubio che funziona alla perfezione. Dai tortelli con la coda, alla moussaka con ingredienti locali, o ancora ai pisarei con la feta, ogni piatto racconta una storia di contaminazioni felici e sapori ben bilanciati. Il clima è familiare e accogliente: si viene trattati come ospiti di vecchia data, non come semplici clienti. Il servizio è cordiale, mai invadente, e sempre pronto a raccontare l’origine dei piatti e dei vini della casa. Un altro punto a favore è il prezzo, decisamente contenuto rispetto alla qualità dell’esperienza offerta. È raro oggi trovare un luogo che coniughi genuinità, buona cucina e prezzi onesti con tanta naturalezza. In definitiva, Il Corniolo è il posto ideale per una gita fuori porta (l'agriturismo ha anche alcune stanze per il pernottamento), una cena romantica o un pranzo in compagnia, con il valore aggiunto di una cucina che osa senza perdere le radici. I complimenti al cuoco, Federico e alla sua famiglia per aver creato questo gioiello nella campagna piacentina! Straconsigliato!!!

Beautiful experience, very pleasant day, excellent food, plentiful and with a small reinterpretation of tradition in a Greek key. We will definitely be back.

Enchanting place in nature with large garden with games. Delicious cuisine with traditional Piacenza flavors and revisited Greek specialties. Uncommon welcome and hospitality and a young and very capable chef. Highly recommended.

Il posto è bello. Si mangia bene. Si paga poco. Quasi mai si riescono a trovare queste qualità tutte insieme. Al Corniolo noi le abbiamo trovate. Nella dolcezza dei colli piacentini, in una cucina non banale, in un conto che lascia la voglia di tornarci. Per chi ama questi posti, Corniolo #1

Enchanting place on the hills of Val Tidone, delicious food, a light and tasty lunch between a mussaka and some Piacenza tortelli and a long carefree after lunch in the shade of the trees in the garden. Super!
