Beautiful place, perfect food, very kind owners

A campsite in a fantastic location with fantastic views of the lake and the Gran Sasso mountains. Friendly, family-run business. Dinner is highly recommended. Delicious 4-course menu (antipasti, pasta dish, charcoal-grilled lamb, homemade cake for dessert), plus a bottle of wine for €35 per person.

beautiful location with an excellent view of Lake Campotosto. The management is family-run. you can enjoy a meal at the restaurant with a single fixed price menu (dinner cost me 25 euros and I ate a first course "La gricia", stewed sheep; kebabs, there was also some excellent local cold cuts and something 'other that I didn't take because I was already full. I would say the cuisine was excellent, the service was good, the panoramic view was beautiful. Toilets and showers quite clean, but it is still a campsite. I recommend it and will gladly return.

The campsite is a true hidden gem, with an excellent location that offers a breathtaking view of the lake. The tranquility you breathe here is priceless, ideal for those looking for a relaxing escape into nature without giving up modern comforts. The pitches are well equipped and cared for, making your stay pleasant and worry-free. The real jewel in the crown of the campsite, however, is the restaurant, led by the great Mauro, the undisputed king of the grill. The dishes it offers are an explosion of flavours, with the kebabs standing out for their goodness. An unmissable culinary experience, which alone is worth the stay!

ci siamo fermati in questo campeggio con la nostra roulotte. Si tratta di un campeggio veramente spartano, c'è solo l'essenziale, ovvero una sola doccia nel bagno degli uomini (due nel bagno delle donne) e l'acqua calda non è assicurata (tiepida sì). Il supermercato più vicino è veramente lontano e può capitarvi che tornando a tarda sera troviate sulla strada un branco di cani, grossi e apparentemente senza padrone. In campenso si gode di un incredibile silenzio e di una vista magnifica sul lago, nonchè della gentilezza dei gestori.

Small but welcoming campsite, located in a very good position close to Lake Campotosto but in a tree-lined area. The managers are kind and helpful, and prepare an excellent barbecue (best to book). The pitches are good (but the surface is a bit hard, bring 20 size nails with good tips for tents) and there is running water almost everywhere. Electricity available in each pitch. Bathrooms cleaned constantly. Very recommended.

Nice place apart from the lack of hot water in the shower. Just above Lake Campotosto. Convenient for starting trekking trails through the Tivo and Corno Piccolo meadows

Ich bin mit meiner Freundin auf einer Rundreise durch Italien, und haben uns dann für diesen Campingplatz als Station entschieden. Ich habe persönlich nichts auszusetzen an diesem Campingplatz. Die Stellplätze sind schattig und man entkommt so der starken Mittagssonne. Auf persönliche Bedürfnisse wird von den Betreibern/Angestellten eingegangen und es bietet sich ein wunderbarer Ausblick auf den See sowie auf das Dorf auf der anderen Seite. Verhungern tut man hier ebenfalls nicht, da es ein eigenes Restaurant gibt mit abendlichem selbst gemachten Essen. In direkter Nähe ist auch der Mount Civitella, welcher ca. 1h 15‘ Fußmarsch entfernt ist und einen schönen Ausflug bietet. Wer nicht gerne spazieren geht sollte sich ein Fahrrad etc. mitnehmen, da es hier einige Berge gibt die zu besteigen sind. Schlussendlich lässt sich sagen, dass wir wirklich sehr zufrieden sind und bei Möglichkeit gerne wieder kommen.
