...and then you meet Chef Esposito himself, who invites you into his restaurant. Which is what we did today, along with my wife, dog, and toddler.
High expectations, all met beyond all expectations. The appetizer was fried cod in various sauces, paccheri with the freshest snapper sauce. The snapper fillet, deboned in front of you, was simply delicious.
We'll be back. I love expectations fully met!

A beautiful, well-maintained restaurant with an open kitchen and sea views, next to the port of Sorrento.
Good, well-prepared food. The flavors are well-balanced and carefully presented.
One flaw is the service.
I asked for a glass of Aglianico del Sannio, and they brought me a house sparkling wine. When I pointed this out, they said, "We'll bring you the house wine so you can try it."
It's a sore point, keep an eye on the bill; this is a mystery, since even though we paid by card, we didn't get a receipt!!! And I just can't figure out how we arrived at the total (a bit expensive).

A delicious meal with a fried pizza and tagliatelle with the fish of the day, it was truly exquisite. The service staff was excellent and very friendly 😊
The only downside was that the receptionist and cashier wasn't very friendly and was always on their cell phone.

Last night I went to Da Antonino Pizza e Cucina at the Marina Piccola port, and I have to say it was a truly pleasant experience! I left my car in the Correale parking lot and, taking advantage of the evening, took the elevator down from the Villa Comunale to the port: a beautiful walk that alone is worth the evening.
The pizza is excellent—I chose a Margherita with provola, but my friends chose the Amalfi, the Pompeii—there's something for everyone! The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, thanks to Antonino, his family, and the staff, who are always kind and attentive. I highly recommend it. You can reach the restaurant even when the ZTL (limited traffic zone) is in effect. Just go to the parking lot near the restaurant: the parking staff will signal your passage for authorization.
For lunch, I recommend leaving your car downtown and taking the elevator down from the Villa Comunale to the port, enjoying a splendid view and a relaxing stroll.

Clean and welcoming place, with a pleasant atmosphere. I tried the pasta with crab and seaweed chips: truly delicious. The paccheri were cooked to perfection, which is not always easy to find and deserves a special mention.
The bread was also good and fresh. The house wine, however, left me a bit perplexed: €7 for a glass seemed a bit steep compared to the average.
I didn't try the pizza, but it looked very inviting.
I don't think I'll return because, despite the pasta being delicious, I found the bill too high.
