- Service: the waiter and manager took time to listen to what we were looking for and to make excellent recommendations; we arrived late and were the last to go, but the staff made us feel welcome. - Food: as non-meat eaters, we chose orrechiette ai broccoli and papardelle ai fungi porcini - glorious - why can't vegetarian food always taste this good? Atmosphere: cosy yet professional, a hit with locals

The restaurant was full so we had dinner outside. After the welcome drink we were offered a table inside but we declined, since we enjoyed the fresh air. The food was of excellent quality, we enjoyed the appetizers, the gnocchi and pasta very much, but found the portions small. The service was friendly and professional.

07/08/2026: Excellent grill! Dining al fresco in the garden was a pleasure. Everything was delicious: from the Jamon Iberico starter to the pan-fried parmigiana, to the amazing meat. Excellent service and a more than fair price. Highly recommended!
28/07/2026: What a wonderful restaurant! Four of us went there for dinner a few weeks ago. The outdoor location is very charming, and you can make reservations (I recommend it). The food is not only very good, but the portions are generous. The prices are mid-range, but they reflect the excellent selection and quality of the food. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. I also recommend it for romantic dinners and anniversaries!

09/10/2025: I've been going to the Mary Read for years, and there hasn't been a single evening in all that time that hasn't provided me with excellent food, washed down with equally excellent beer, and the key ingredient of all the staff, who generously dispense professionalism, friendliness, and a more than friendly atmosphere.
