A 'Pestun'A' In Genova

Say what you will, but I'm crazy about these quick Ligurian bakeries. There's no seating inside; you grab and eat as you go. Wonder and poetry, just steps from the sea at Boccadasse. A lifetime.

A small place where you can eat excellent farinata

Wonderful. Typical Genoese focaccia. Delicious, crispy, and flavorful. My favorite is the sage one. We bought all sorts to take home to our children, so they could experience a little bit of Genoa, and we succeeded. The owners were fantastic. Kind and empathetic. We'll definitely be back.

The pizza was delicious, mouth-watering, truly worthy of five stars, and even the long wait was worth it. I saw the bakers making fresh focaccia on the spot, which was a great thing. It's a shame they're poorly organized and there was only one woman serving. Perhaps adding another person at the counter would help them serve customers faster and earn more money.

A’ Pestun’a in Boccadasse is a fantastic place to experience authentic local flavors. The food is simple, traditional, and full of taste, exactly what you expect from a true Ligurian spot. Everything feels fresh and homemade, and the atmosphere fits perfectly with the charm of the neighborhood. It’s a great place to stop, eat well, and enjoy the real spirit of Boccadasse without anything feeling touristy.

I don't really understand the bad reviews about this restaurant. With very basic Italian, you can manage just fine. Being polite is certainly the key to successful communication... Of course, this business prefers cash, but that's true of most places. It's run by a very helpful and available grandmother. The food is very good (cheese focaccia and farinata). The prices are very reasonable too (€6 for about 500 grams total). The location is also beautiful. Go eat these delicious dishes on the cove, just 50 meters away!

The focaccia and tart are delicious. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
