A Marchesina In Caserta

A short but very pleasant and peaceful experience.

A must stop in Caserta Vecchia. Small bar in the village, the lady has been preparing homemade desserts for years that are absolutely worth trying. Personally, I go crazy for its almond paste and tarts. Stop by at least for the first one, at a cost of 1 euro and a chat. But it's a ritual every time I return to the city.

Cute little spot for a quick coffee. We also bought a bottle of wine to take along which turned out to be decent.

Delicious desserts as well as homemade biscuits made by the owner. Tasted a huge slice of fantastic tart and purchased two different types of cantucci biscuits with jam which I'm sipping so as not to run out too soon

A marchesina βρισκόμασταν αργά το απόγευμα για τον τελευταίο καφέ της ημέρας, τάρτα κεράσι, μπύρες, υπέροχο campari spritz. Το μαγαζί όμορφο, πολύ καθαρό, οι τιμές καλές, οι μερίδες τίμιες. Η Cincia και η Elena φιλόξενες και χαρούμενες πάντα με όρεξη για κουβέντα ( κι ας μην ήξεραν αγγλικά, ούτε εμείς ιταλικά, η παντομίμα και το goigle translate θριάμβευσαν). Περάσαμε υπέροχα απογεύματα στη marchesina. Να πάτε οπωσδήποτε. Grazie molto, Natassa & Fotini from Athens Greece

A place with a refined and familiar atmosphere, where it is extremely pleasant to linger to enjoy an excellent coffee and a slice of homemade tart (I personally tasted the excellent one with fig and almond jam recommended to me by the exquisite owner Cinzia). If you happen to be in Casertavecchia, you can't help but stop here. Highly recommended
