A' Cucchiarella In

We visited this restaurant in the middle of August. We ordered appetizers and main courses for the entire table. The quality of the fish seemed good, and we were also satisfied with the preparation. But there are a few things I'd like to suggest, both to improve the service in one of the most beautiful places in Calabria and because I believe the experience often matters more than the food itself. 1. In a seafood restaurant, if I order water and pay €4 (or €3, I don't remember exactly), I expect a glass bottle, not a plastic one!!! 2. When the dishes arrive, I expect them to come out of the kitchen at the same time, but instead the main courses arrived at different times, forcing one diner to wait while the others had to start eating to prevent the dish from getting cold; 3. At 10:10 PM on the week of August 15th, when the restaurant was barely full, they were still serving appetizers to other tables. When we asked for the dessert menu, we absolutely couldn't hear ourselves being told, at a table of four, "We only have TWO slices of fruit tart left for dessert." This is honestly unacceptable. 4. The music: as soon as we sat down, we asked for the volume to be turned down because it was decidedly loud. But even if we wanted to turn it off, Elodie and co. might listen to the radio while dining in a restaurant, and at an unpleasant volume. I repeat, these are criticisms I'm making to try to improve, since I think you have a lot of potential, but honestly, the experience, despite the food, wasn't the best.

The quality of the food was very good. If you call in advance and mention your gluten intolerance or celiac disease, you can also have gluten-free dishes prepared. We were all very satisfied after our meal. The dishes served were all freshly prepared, so you can see that the hosts take joy in cooking for their guests. The owners proved themselves to be very good hosts. We would be happy to return.

At Marco's, fish is always a delight. If you're passing through Diamante, you can't miss the "A Cucchiarella" restaurant. The owner and chef, Marco, is a delightful person who, for about eight months, has run the restaurant with passion and professionalism. During our summer vacation, my family and I dined here at least four times, always enjoying the freshest fish, impeccably cooked: mixed grills, crispy fried fish, flavorful mussels, and memorable first courses. Marco often delighted us with off-menu dishes, like freshly caught sea bream or the unforgettable linguine with monkfish, a true delicacy. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is courteous and attentive: compliments also to Marco's wife and the waitress, always kind, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail. Well done Marco, keep up the good work: your cooking and your hospitality truly make the difference!

The food is quite good, both fish and local produce, and is certainly above average for restaurants in Diamante and the surrounding area. I'll definitely be returning to try other dishes, perhaps outside of peak season!

Sono venuto ben due volte e tutte e due le volte era pieno. Incuriosito, mi sono detto: qui evidentemente si mangia davvero bene, e cosi dopo aver prenotato sono finalmente riuscito a trovare posto, è stata una vera sorpresa. Piatti curatissimi, sapori originali ma equilibrati, atmosfera calda e accogliente. Ma la cosa che fa davvero la differenza è Marco, il proprietario e chef, che non solo cucina, ma gira tra i tavoli, si assicura che tutto stia andando bene e racconta con passione ogni piatto da lui creato e proposto. Una presenza rara e preziosa. Consiglio solo una cosa: prenotate perché rischiate seriamente di rimanere fuori. Qualità / prezzo top.

Delizioso, nuovo ristorante a Diamante, situato nel suo centro storico. Si mangia benissimo grazie allo chef e titolare Marco, simpatico e cordiale. Pesce fresco, piatti innovativi, ottimi vini del territorio. Per chi va a Diamante è una tappa obbligata. Onesto il rapporto qualità/prezzo.
