Excellent food and very friendly staff

Strolling through the streets of Salerno's historic center, a city familiar to us even though we've lived up north for decades, I spotted the signs for this osteria, but more importantly, the slogans posted outside the entrance. We then decided to stop for dinner: it was the best choice! The welcome was familiar, like being at Aunt Vittoria's house, the food was home-cooked (the broccoli, not on the menu, was actually from the chef's own garden!), and the service was quick and efficient. The space is small, so the atmosphere is reminiscent of a family dinner even at the other tables, with the chef even passing by with his pot to offer seconds! I'd say that, although it won't be easy to find a table, it's highly recommended for those who don't want the typical "tourist" menu but want to immerse themselves in local flavors. I almost forgot to mention the house red wine, an Aglianico. I drank one bottle at the table, for two, and another for lunch today. Get the idea?

For trattoria lovers and those who love the historic center, this is the right place. It's like eating at a friend's house, with dishes prepared just like our parents used to make. You can enjoy seafood and meat dishes. The restaurant is small inside, but you can also eat outside. Every dish should be paired with a good glass of wine. I personally recommend it, but remember, only for lovers of good home cooking.

I went last night with a group of friends. What can I say... Unmissable. A must-try for anyone seeking authentic local flavors. Small, family-friendly atmosphere, dishes that instantly make you feel at home, ultra-fresh fish, cooked with love and simplicity. Everything is local and authentic, even the cured meats and meat-based appetizers. Generous portions!!! The owners are exquisite, professional and kind, and the prices are very fair despite it being a holiday weekend. You can see and taste that they put their heart into it. A pleasant surprise. Authentic Salerno cuisine. Pasta with potatoes and provola, special mozzarella, fresh, tasty cherry tomatoes (even without sauce), delicious escarole, excellent meatballs. It took me back to the cooking of my aunts and grandmothers. The service was friendly and courteous. It was truly a treat. The space is small, so it feels like home. Reservations are recommended. The owners are truly kind. I highly recommend it.

What a shame we found this lovely place on the last day of our holiday in Salerno in August 🥲, we found it while we were out for a walk. The woman who served us was very kind, thank you so much, it was a pleasure meeting you, if we come to Salerno again, we will definitely return ❤️

My husband and I were in Salerno last weekend for a friend's wedding. We wanted to dine somewhere quaint and have good food. While walking around Salerno, we saw a sign: "Ristorante a'corte... come la cucina di mamma'!" We thought it was a great challenge, so after walking 500 meters, we reached the restaurant. Evocative lights positioned along the alley frame the restaurant's outdoor tables, creating a very romantic atmosphere. We were welcomed with kindness and warmth. We chose a €30 fish menu with three appetizers, a first course, and drinks, plus an €18 fish menu with an appetizer and a first course. We ate wonderfully; the chef and his wife were wonderful and even brought us some extra dishes, which we enjoyed with great pleasure. We ate wonderfully, left happy, and only spent €60! You're better than mamma's cooking! Thank you ❤️
