Chef Angelo and his family gave life to an extraordinary idea in the heart of the historic center of Vairano Patenora: transforming the house they were renovating for themselves into a welcoming home restaurant. The experience begins right from the booking, when Angelo guides you in choosing the menu with great attention to personal tastes, any allergies and budget. You can opt to give him carte blanche or make specific requests. We chose to rely completely on him, and the result was impeccable. Upon arrival, Angelo and his family welcome guests warmly. His wife showed us the house, renovated with taste and creativity, where each room hosts a table, creating an intimate and unique atmosphere. Particularly evocative are a room dedicated to children and, above all, a splendid terrace overlooking the Vairano Patenora castle, perfect for summer dinners. Angelo's menu is a perfect balance between local tradition and innovation. We started with a beef tartare and Annurche apples seasoned with anchovy sauce, followed by pork belly with courgettes and black rice chips. Then, an original buttoned pepper, where the classic bread cap has been transformed into a fried breadcrumb that envelops the pepper, making it a crunchy and tasty croquette. To close the appetizers, a chickpea soup with fried pork rind, perfectly vaporous thanks to the puffing. As a first course, ravioli filled with ricotta and lemon, embellished with truffles, followed by a second course of cuts made with the highest quality local beef. To conclude, a fresh and delicious mandarin panna cotta. Ultimately, a unique experience, tailor-made for guests, which mixes hospitality, culinary excellence and love for the territory. I wish Angelo and his family the best: their determination and courage to invest in the historic center of Vairano Patenora deserve admiration. I hope others look to them as an example and can start business ventures to revive our wonderful country.

A casa dello chef è una fuga piacevole dalla quotidianità dei soliti ristoranti di paese e di città. Attenzione alla materia prima, agli abbinamenti nei piatti ed al servizio. Tutto ciò che si può desiderare quando si esce dalle mura della propria casa per cercare un ambiente confortevole e di altissimo livello. Consigliatissimo.

A well-deserved 10/10 for this enchanting place where I found quality of the raw materials, originality of the environments and excellently executed dishes. A family restaurant with a beautiful contemporary atmosphere but also attentive to tradition, with an authentic and at the same time simple and welcoming atmosphere. I particularly appreciated the owners, also chefs of the restaurant, husband and wife (perfect combination of competence and creativity) but above all very very nice, and then the two children who serve the tables, attentive to every need, friendly and professional. Truly a wonderful surprise. Highly recommended! I will be back soon and recommend it to my friends.

Ho pranzato in questo splendido ristorante con la famiglia. Abbiamo optato per menù a base di pesce, ci siamo accordati su quante portate volessimo e i piatti poi erano a sorpresa in base agli ingredienti del giorno...e che sorpresa! Pesce cucinato a regola d'arte, qualità ottima, freschissimo, sia il crudo che il pesce cotto. Nel ristorante tutto è curato nei dettagli, il servizio, l'arredamento. Personale gentilissimo e molto professionale. Ho apprezzato molto anche l'intimità che La casa dello Chef offre, sembra proprio di stare in casa propria! Conto in linea con la qualità di ciò che si mangia. Che dire, le 5 stelle sono meritatissime! Ci tornerei sicuramente! (Non ho foto del cibo, ci siamo gustati gli ottimi piatti)
