The friendly welcome in a small, pleasant restaurant was surprising. we arrived late 🙏 but our table under the window was waiting for us, set, immediately a fresh organic rosé, with a seasonal dish, the scented stuffed courgettes (photo) from the 🏡 home garden.
we enjoy reading the "bullshit" of some who 😂 really assign a star for 2.50 cover charge (homemade bread and focaccia)😆. they will be sent by some terrible "envious" restaurateur.😆but let's stay on topic,
here we enjoyed linguine with "pesto" with very fresh basil, which I didn't remember being so good😋
By now we are all experts in geopolitics and "culinary"!!!
We have the habit of talking if we don't like something or something goes wrong... we are direct and we say it. In fact we spoke to Silvio, asking for another portion of stuffed courgettes (photo)! a lust,

ah sorry, I forgot an amazing cheese focaccia, the courgette flowers, for me one of the absolute seasonal dishes, smell of the Chianti hills.

A romantic and welcoming place, located in one of the prettiest and most picturesque squares in Florence. The menu, with references to Genoese cuisine, is simple and homely, the ingredients are all vegetarian, organic and seasonal, truly amazing dishes! Even the selection of wines is truly excellent, always in keeping with the poetics of the place! I highly recommend trying this delicious place!

...so we go around the city "madly" hungry with the desire for "farinata" for us Ligurians, which in Tuscany you call "cecina".
a Mediterranean dish that we have adopted in Liguria, a well-known "Saracenic" land.
here in the small "5ecinque" we had our fill already in the BC era
(Before COVID) and we were positively pampered, cooked & eaten!!!
and how can we not return to try again a classic "entreé" "la farinata" - "cecina", amazing, which is absolutely not greasy, but crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, simply good, served directly from the "bacan", a marvel, thin and soft, cooked to perfection. forced to "repeat"😋 while sipping an "ancestral rosé", waiting for a "local" saffron risotto, grown on the Tuscan hills. The fabulous rice, al dente, beautiful saffron yellow, delicate on the palate. and then, alas, how can you not have a "focaccia" like Recco, to be shared by three. two artfully prepared products, with ingredients from small organic companies, this also makes the qualitative difference, for us travellers, often worn out by endless journeys, here we felt pampered by a "family" atmosphere and balanced dishes.
The "corsetti" with pesto with magg and pine nuts also received great applause. and as soon as I "go down" to Tuscany, this is it
our "comfort zone" of authentic taste.

Very pleasant discovery. I was very impressed by the simplicity but at the same time the exquisiteness of the dishes. Very simple, quality ingredients and a huge explosion of flavours. Absolutely 5 out of 5 stars.

We ate risotto and pizzata, and for dessert Cavour (meringue with cream), everything was very delicious. A super nice waitress served us, we saw the nonna, an authentic Italian cook, and the nono flirting with any young girl. Authentic Italian atmosphere.
