18/08/2026: Went today after a boat trip. Very kind staff, first of all. Really nice location. We had a really good lunch. We had the marinated sturgeon, bigoi in salsa, and cod Mantova-style. I don't know which of the three was better. (Being intolerant, I couldn't have the pumpkin tortelli.) Really, congratulations. And I hope to return. Fair price.
Ps. The sbrisolona was also excellent.
17/08/2026: Stroll through the square for the Madonnari, visit the Basilica, and lunch at the inn. It was a perfect day. The service was friendly and the food excellent, all at a fair price. Pumpkin tortelli, tagliatelle with duck, and risotto alla pilota were all better than the last. The cotechino was special, and the desserts included sbrisolona with zabaglione, chocolate salami, and, above all, the millefeuille, a perfect way to end the meal.

12/06/2026: Great restaurant. The chef and service are very courteous and helpful. Haute cuisine features superb yet unpretentious dishes. The wow factor is the quality of the ingredients and the chef's skill, who focuses on the substance of the flavors unleashed in the mouth rather than on the effect. Prices are more than reasonable.

A quaint location, everywhere you turn, something catches your eye. The service is impeccable, and in addition to the attention they give you, I appreciate that the chef personally comes out to chat with his guests. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The dishes, what can I say... each one better than the last: we opted for the tasting menu and it was a wonderful experience.
We went with another couple of friends and our baby, who was a few months old, and they were truly hospitable and kind, even letting us pass with the stroller and making room for us. Compliments to the chef and all the staff, I can't wait to return.

04/08/2026: We tried this osteria in the Mantua area. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were helpful and courteous. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the platter of mixed cheeses and mustards. I highly recommend it. The other dishes were also good, with excellent pairings and beautifully presented. I'd say the value for money was good.

29/06/2026: I gave 1 star for the atmosphere because, with temperatures around 38 degrees today, June 20, 2026, we had lunch on a completely open outdoor veranda with the fans on high that worked but did very little. Inside, they told me they don't have air conditioning. The food, however, was excellent. But from my point of view, you absolutely can't have lunch in the summer. There were a lot of people fanning themselves, including us. Never again will I have an experience like this with these temperatures! Maybe in December, but not now, absolutely not, I almost fainted!

The first courses are better than the second courses.
Don't order the pumpkin tortelli. Instead, opt for the macaroni with bacon.

The regional, honest cuisine is Michelin-star quality, beautifully presented with high-quality, perfectly paired wines, and the service is second to none. Anyone looking for Italian cuisine at its finest and an upscale atmosphere will find this the perfect place. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful evening.

22/05/2026: We managed to snag a table at Bice la gallina felice. What can I say? The welcome was wonderful and the food was equally excellent. They even let me try something off-menu, a lightly seared tartare, which I found truly delicious, topped with some truly sweet cherry tomatoes.
The price is fair for the quality.
Try to book in advance, otherwise you'll risk feeling cramped at the table.
12/05/2026: We dined in the outdoor courtyard: truly charming and intimate, enveloped in the scent of jasmine. The food was truly excellent and beautifully presented, but the friendliness and hospitality were the real highlight. We'll be back!

19/07/2026: Very nice and welcoming place and excellent service. The only thing is, check the salt in the kettle; the pasta was really tasteless. But for one night, a mistake can happen to anyone and doesn't compromise the quality.
09/07/2026: We had a New Year's Eve dinner, and the food was excellent, with prices below average for the time of year (we had visited several places). In addition to the traditional welcome at the end of the meal, I think the owner's son heard me talking about whisky and offered me (he seems like a connoisseur, not just a simple enthusiast) a taste of something exquisite!!! Truly a touch of class. Thank you very much.
