I'm not a sushi expert but in my small way I say that this was really good or at least better than other highly renowned places in Naples. Honest prices. And I will give that we were new customers they also offered us two pieces of...don't ask me what they are called!!!😄

Ate from home, compliments both the poké and the sushi box were very good, the tuna from the poké was spectacular, the tuna from the box was a little dry but still good, I will definitely call again❤️

Ristorante Giapponese Tokyo 2

10/05/2024: This is a big restaurant that gets busy. It was right next door to our hotel, so convenient, especially when a train strike prevented travel into the city for the evening, and we were rather "pizzad out"! We just speak English, and for us, trying to work out how on earth it all worked was, quite frankly, hellish to begin with. Stick with it though, and it turns out much better. For the poor souls in our position - here's the low-down... Very little English is spoken in here, especially by waiting staff. A couple of girls at the reception were much better. I know, I know, we should do better ourselves, but we are where we are, so... You go in and are shown to a table. One iPad sits on the table with no paper menu. There is no useful website. Nothing is in English. You use the iPad to order food, which then gets added to your bill. You can order all at once, or bit by bit, as you feel as you go along. There are two approaches. You have to decide and tell staff which one you are doing at the start, before you order anything. 1) You can order "A la Carte" - i.e. Just order individual dishes as you wish and pay for at the end. Or 2) "All You Can Eat" - this cost 29 Euros. For this you can order anything, endlessly. This does not include drinks or desserts. These are added separately in addition at the end. One problem is that it is physically difficult to both look at the iPad at the same time, and you can only have the one, as it is linked to your table and order. We ended up propping it up between us, and I moved round to be adjacent to my husband. Sitting opposite - it just didn't work. There are pictures of everything, and some familiar words as they are similar to the English version e.g. ramen etc. We had to spend quite a lot of time on Google translating key words - we soon worked out prawns/ pork/ clams/ chicken etc. It was hard work, but doable of course. Important tip - once you have pressed "Order" in your "basket" at the top of the page, you cannot order anything else for 5 minutes. You can of course, put several things in your basket before ordering. That threw us a bit until we worked it out. This doesn't apply for drinks though - they can be ordered without triggering a 5 minute wait. The food itself was good. The dishes weren't huge (on the all you can eat), but it meant we tried lots of things. Lovely hot and sour soup/ salt and pepper chicken/ prawns skewers to name but a few. Was a nice change from pizza - we had lots of amazing pizza, but sometimes you want a change. We were there on a Saturday night, and it was extremely busy by 8pm. Worth a go - great food, but be prepared if your language creates a hurdle! Actually quite a fun and funky way to do it all in the end!! The three stars reflects the whole process. The food would have been a four.

One Sushi Pompei

29/08/2024: While the food was okaaaay......much hassle with staff to do the a la carte thing. They are obviously an "all you can eat" business model so I had to clarify as soon as we walked in that we were only paying for what we ordered. They have these computers at your table where you order stuff. Everything going fine until someone (who actually spoke English) arrives at our table (after we've received food) to try and convince us that "all you can eat" for €28 is better value. He even does the math: we've spent €40 on food and wine that we want but somehow spending €28 x 2 + wine and water is meant to be a better deal! I think I had to say "no" about 10 times before he went away. Very unpleasant experience. Would not go back
21/08/2024: The sushi was good but a bit too dry. Some dishes had the feeling that they were not freshly prepared but were from the day before. The service was still very good and attentive.
