A trattoria in the historic center of the city, nestled among narrow streets and small squares lined with shops and restaurants. We enter and sit on small, low, and not-so-comfortable wooden benches. He asks if we'd prefer to go downstairs for more comfort, but the result is the same. In fact, the downstairs space is dark and a bit oppressive. The atmosphere is dated and unkempt, especially those unhygienic plastic placemats. It's a shame, because overall, the food wasn't bad; in fact, the traditional Sardinian dishes were decent. We paid €70 for two, including an appetizer, first course, and dessert, a glass of house red wine and water, and a complimentary coffee—you be the judge. Even though the food wasn't bad, I don't think I'd return, mostly because leaving that environment and going outdoors felt like a new beginning.
