Very good, I had an excellent cassoela and I saw they do several themed nights. It's very large and has a lot of customers, recommended!

We've been several times over the years and have always had a great time. The traditional Lombard dishes are delicious, with portions that are especially generous for girls. I'd say vegans would be better off looking for a different restaurant! Everything is excellent.

For me, a trattoria means a quiet place where the food is carefully prepared. La Cava is huge... full of seats... the staff is friendly and kind, but the food didn't wow me... it reminded me of a canteen... the cassoula arrived in an exaggerated quantity... full of cabbage and with only two pieces of meat. No ribs, no cabbage. I've certainly had better, and in more humane quantities... 😂😂😂
Otherwise, nothing to say.

The experience was truly positive. The food is good, traditional cuisine prepared as it should be, without unnecessary reinterpretations. Here you'll find authentic Lombard dishes: cassoeula, ossobuco, polenta, and other specialties. A huge plus is the super-fast service: we didn't wait long, even when the place was full, which isn't a given, especially on weekends.
The atmosphere is welcoming and quaint. I loved the dining room with its vintage mirrors, very charming and in keeping with the place's history.
A tip: it's best to call a few days in advance, as it's almost always fully booked on weekends.

We went to LA CAVA exclusively to try their cassoeula. Excellent! The portion was generous... no, overpriced, and the bill was excellent, €15 per person including water, wine, and coffee.
We'll be back.
