This restaurant offers traditional, home-style cuisine, with exquisite dishes, generous portions, and more than fair prices. The hand-made capunsei and the donkey stew with gratinated polenta are excellent. The tiramisu and sbrisolona with zabaglione are delicious. The owner is kind, courteous, and hospitable, making his customers feel at ease.

The owner is very kind and helpful. This is a great place for those looking for excellent pumpkin and amaretti tortelli or donkey stew. I personally decided to try the pike with polenta. It was a generous dish, but not particularly tasty, unlike the others my friends had.

Courtesy and hospitality from days gone by. Francesco welcomed us, making us feel welcome right away, even though we'd stumbled upon it by chance and right before closing time. Home-style cooking with quality ingredients and generous portions, quick and friendly service, and a more than fair price. The sparkling white wine from a family friend is also excellent. Highly recommended for both lunch and dinner, where they offer an à la carte menu featuring typical Mantuan dishes.

A wonderful surprise! We stopped in Castiglione by chance during a trip with friends and discovered this welcoming, family-friendly trattoria, where we immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is warm, the service friendly and attentive, and the food… simply delicious! Everything we tried was good, but special mention goes to the black cherry ravioli—a surprising and truly tasty combination—and the fresh pasta, made just like in times gone by. A place we'll gladly return to.

22/09/2025: Very beautiful place immersed in the countryside in total peace. Modern and well-kept rooms. Beautiful farmhouse with swimming pool and truly excellent food. Very welcoming and kind staff. Highly recommended!!
09/09/2025: A modern, new, and well-maintained farmhouse. The breakfast is worth the trip. We stayed with two children, who immediately wanted to enjoy the pool when they saw it. They were rightly reprimanded for splashing, and reluctantly let them out. However, we must report a somewhat disturbing night due to a party going on right below our room, which continued until late at night. We understand the presence of others in the property, but since the children were called to the pool, we felt it was appropriate to keep the party to a slightly more moderate level.

13/10/2025: There were 4 of us, superb pizza, nothing to complain about, very good service BUT.... if they ask for a COKE, (ok, it's written on the menu, but no one goes looking through the drinks if you order a Coke, assume it's that) at least say when ordering that you have a similar off-brand, at least one that way is regulated and is much more CORRECT. PS as far as taste goes it's awful to accompany pizza 😅. For the rest and piece, everything is in line.
02/10/2025: I took advantage of the promo for lunch break, the pizza was very good, Neapolitan, with plenty of toppings, I didn't like the molecule (their coca-cola) but I think it's a matter of taste. The place isn't very big but modern, well-kept and trendy. The staff was friendly and the prices are average, I don't know the dinner prices though.
