A typical Venetian osteria, one of those that are becoming extinct. The owner is very friendly, and they serve excellent cicchetti and wines by the glass.

24/10/2025: The coffee is SO good 👍. Love it.
24/09/2025: We found Carpe Diem while on a vacation to southern Maine back before the turn of the century, as we are fond of saying. Since then we have mail ordered several different blends and varietals to keep our cupboards stocked. The coffee is well roasted to give a rich, clean flavor; just a great cup of coffee. And the decaf is so good you would not know you were not drinking caffeinated. Easily the best coffee we have ever had. And they are just a wonderful company to do business with.

18/03/2026: Amazing fish! Superb appetizer. Perfectly cooked octopus...and we know how difficult it is to cook. The peoci...lovely, big and succulent. Everything was excellent. Delicious desserts. Recommended. Friendly and professional staff. Greetings from Trieste.
12/11/2025: An old-fashioned but very welcoming osteria. There were four of us for dinner and we ate excellent seafood. Classic dishes included a mixed boiled appetizer, fish soup, mixed fried fish, and spaghetti with clams, all accompanied by the house Glera. Good service, a very quaint and warm setting, excellent and well-cooked food, and a very good price for the quality of the dishes and the location. Recommended.
