Italian-style theater where I saw a beautiful show.
This is the story: the trial of Joan of Arc.
Congratulations to the actors and all the organizers.

Classic charm and excellent visibility and acoustics
The Mercadante Theater in Naples is a beautiful and striking venue that retains the charm of classical theaters (with a style reminiscent of some found in Uruguay).
It's a pleasure to attend: it has comfortable seats and, most importantly, excellent visibility from different points in the room. It's a great option for enjoying the city's cultural offerings.

I renewed my season ticket for this theater again this year, a real gem. I really enjoyed last season; you can build your season ticket with the shows you're most interested in, and the selection is vast! On the downside, the ticket office staff are rude, they respond annoyed to your requests, and never a smile! But that's how it is!

I attended the Teatro Mercadante for a performance as part of the Campania Teatro Festival, and I can say it was one of those evenings that reconnects you with art and the city. The theater, nestled between Piazza Municipio and the port, is one of those places that seems to exist in perfect balance between history and modernity.
As soon as you enter, you immediately sense a solemn yet welcoming atmosphere. The rooms, the velvets, the decor: everything speaks of a living theatrical tradition, not only preserved but proudly lived. There's elegance, but without ostentation. There's beauty, but not cold or distant.
The show, part of the Campania Teatro Festival, found the ideal setting here: the Mercadante stage seems designed to highlight every word, every gesture, every silence. The direction, the lighting, the sound... everything worked perfectly, but above all, it's the magic of the place that amplifies the experience.
The audience was engaged, attentive, and collected. And this also helped make the evening special. In a time when we often rush and get distracted, at the Mercadante I found the time to slow down and truly enjoy the show, feeling part of something culturally alive.
I absolutely recommend a visit, even just to breathe in the atmosphere of a theater that is part of Naples' profound identity. And if you happen to be there during the Campania Teatro Festival, all the better: that's when the Mercadante shows its full soul.
