Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Professional staff. Truly delicious food. We ate truly top-quality Roman cuisine. It will become our favorite restaurant ever.

The quality of the meat and ingredients is unquestionable, as is the expertise of those who prepare it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant is very welcoming, elegantly yet informally furnished. A wide selection of cuts is available. The price is in line with the quality offered.

A wonderful place located in the small fortress of Ardea. The place is beautiful and well-kept, as is the attention they pay to their customers. The food is delicious. We were there to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday, and everything went well, but I had no doubts. Thanks again for the evening, and we'll see you soon to try your meat.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in Ardea. La Taverna offers a lovely, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, extremely helpful and friendly waiters, and fabulous, carefully prepared dishes. We sampled mostly meat, along with side dishes and a platter. The meat was the star of the evening: rare, masterfully cooked with flavorful fat. The platter was also delicious: cold cuts, beans with pork rind, homemade sausages, pecorino cheese, and fried vegetables. Another highlight are their sauces, including excellent onion jam and spicy sauce for meat. We were delighted; I was right to follow the ad on my neighborhood group.

I can't say enough about everything about this place. Attention to detail, impeccable service, exquisite food, and extraordinary ingredients. The prices are absolutely in line with the quality. For those who love good food, skillful preparation, and presentation, no ifs or buts, this is a true gem in Ardea.

I can confirm that this is not your typical restaurant overrun by tourists; in fact, almost all the diners are locals, groups, and families. The dishes are simple yet tasty, authentic, and generous, with a true respect for traditional Roman cuisine. The chef prepares everything by hand, and the homey character shines through in the succulent and distinctive dishes. The owner, Michele, is incredibly welcoming, and he knows how to put guests at ease, engaging in conversation while remaining discreet. Recommended. I will be back.

22/09/2025: In contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city and far from the tourist crowds, this restaurant, founded 60 years ago near the Cirus Maximus, specializes primarily in fish dishes. We opted for the rabbit ragout, however. The portions were manageable. This comment should not be taken negatively. Rather, this review should encourage the interested reader to recognize the opportunity to choose an appetizer and perhaps another course to enjoy the cuisine, which is more perfect than just outstanding. The perfect impression was rounded off by an exquisite wine list, as well as the very hospitable ambiance and attentive staff. I recommend an aperitif to familiarize yourself with the menu and wine list. Due to the limited number of tables, reservations are definitely recommended.
