Excellent restaurant! I ordered a Margherita – apparently pizza is supposed to taste this perfect!

This pizzeria of Sofia Loren at the airport is quite reliable, with a big sitting area, plenty of staff and good pizzas. Even on a busy hour they have the capacity to deliver, waiting only 5 minutes on the line, and prices are reasonable for an airport like Rome. Please note that a pizza from scratch is only to order when you are not boarding in 20 minutes but have a little more time to enjoy the food.

I was pleasantly surprised; I've never eaten so well at an airport. And rather than get a slice of pizza to go for €9, I decided to get a whole Margherita pizza for €13. And it was really delicious. My vegan friend had spaghetti with tomato sauce, and that was also delicious.

If I'd ever doubted that even an airport could refresh the soul, the Sophia Loren restaurant in Rome proved me wrong. The atmosphere here doesn't reek of rushing around and luggage carts, but rather of peace, serenity, and a touch of Italian elegance. The prices are astonishingly reasonable, as if the proprietor had forgotten that he was catering to travelers in need. My pizza emerged from the glowing oven so artfully that I almost took off my hat before I bit into it. And the Aperol Spritz – cool, sparkling, a drink that sweetens your departure and inspires your arrival. Would you recommend it? Absolutely.

Excellent pizza, well-seasoned and excellent draft beer, a welcoming and clean place, while waiting for your flight, you can while away the meal time with a succulent pizza.
