An incredible discovery in the narrow streets of Cannobio 🥰 Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, we were warmly welcomed in an authentic and intimate setting. The menu showcases local produce, which is beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious! A truly delightful experience ☺️😋

From the moment we sat down at Scurone, everything felt just right. We enjoyed a full three-course dinner – appetizer, main course, and dessert – and every bite was extraordinary. The food was pure and honest, yet incredibly nuanced and full of character. I had the rump steak, grilled over charcoal – and it was simply perfect. You could taste the charcoal, but it was never overpowering – just beautifully balanced. The appetizer was an experience of its own, and the dessert, paired with a Limoncello, was the perfect ending to a perfect evening. What truly made this dinner unforgettable was the emotion it stirred in me. The food quite literally moved me to tears. And it wasn’t just the food – the staff were warm, genuine, and heartfelt. You could tell they truly cared. If there’s one downside, it’s that the restaurant is a little hidden – which is a pity, because more people deserve to discover this gem. We loved it so much that we booked a table for the next evening as we paid the bill. It was my first time in Italy, and this evening captured everything I hoped for and imagined. Grazie mille, Scurone. You’ve given me a memory I’ll never forget.

We also stayed at the hotel. The hotel is not suitable for people with hip or leg problems. Steep stairs.

A very rustic grottino in an ancient house with a lot of charm. We had excellent food, all homemade. Friendly, personable service. The owner – it's a family business – showed us the whole house, and we were even allowed into the kitchen and greeted the chef (her husband). Oh yes, we'll definitely be back!

For many years, the Scurone was my go-to place in Cannobio for good wine and fine snacks. I don't know how many of my gourmet friends I've sent here. A lot. Today, after a long tour, I was just looking forward to a glass or two with something to go with it at the Scurone. I was extremely disappointed when I was given a rather rude turndown: "No, no, we're a restaurant now, we don't just serve aperitivos." It's true, they've moved into the building next door with more space. But the entrance area was empty at 2 p.m.... what would have been the effort to serve me something... but maybe it's my hiking outfit. As a restaurateur, I certainly understand a change of concept, but I don't understand the lack of flexibility or friendliness. Maybe I'm just so disappointed because this place was one of my absolute favorites, and I was so excited.

I loved this restaurant. Beautiful ambiance inside. Nice selection of red and white wines. The food is excellent, especially the tartare and pasta. I recommend this restaurant, which is far from the tourist traps on the main street.

A small, cozy restaurant in Cannobio with excellent cuisine, great service, and an authentic atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would like to thank the team at Restaurant Scurone for the wonderful evening. Das Restaurant zufällig abends gefunden und für Donnerstag einen Tisch für zwei reserviert. Wir kamen dann zu dritt, es war kein Problem. Die Atmosphäre ist einmalig schön und das Essen vom allerfeinsten. Sollte man unbedingt besuchen…… 6 x ☀️
