Di Scaturchio is a big consumer of ministerial items, obviously not produced in summer. Yesterday (August 9th), passing by, I stopped to buy some sweets for the family. Knowing the flavors of the house, I take two delicious ones (one with hazelnut and one with chocolate), a Vittoria (with chopped hazelnuts) and, new, a ministerial scazzetta. Cost 11.20, just under 3 euros per pasta.
We consume them shortly afterwards for lunch. Unfortunately, it was almost all old stuff (it was Friday) or, in any case, not well made. The biscuit of the delicious one was soft, the one of the scassetta was decidedly old and the contents were quite tasteless, it had nothing of the ministerial taste.
I rarely buy sweets even though I have a well-known pastry shop near my house where I rarely go. I still have a very vivid memory of the wonderful Caflisch pastries, but the desserts I buy at home for just over half the price of those from the famous Scaturchio don't seem any worse to me.
Of course I will return. But only for ministerial meetings or for a coffee.

We went this afternoon for an aperitif and being Friday with the outside room full the service was efficient and friendly (even though the staff was only made up of 3 people). They recommended some of the house cocktails and we were very satisfied. We will be back

Two excellent cocktails 🍸 a Beer 🍺 spritz (Campari, orange juice, prosecco and Corona beer) and a "wrong" Negroni (Campari bitters, red Martini and prosecco instead of gin) we drank them at the Bar Pasticceria Scaturchio, in Piazza Amedeo, in the heart ❤️ of the Chiaia district, in Naples. Our aperitif, accompanied by appetizers, ended with a delicious Santarosa (Neapolitan puff pastry enriched with cream 🍦 and black cherry). Here you can only sit outdoors, lovely tables well placed under large trees, and it's really nice. The interior is small, there is the bar counter for coffee ☕️ cappuccinos, juices and various drinks and there is the window with the delicious pastries: babà, Sfogliatelle, Sciu, Pastiere etc. Scaturchio in Piazza Amedeo was inaugurated 8 years ago. The historic headquarters, in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, was founded in 1905. Scaturchio is famous above all for its Ministeriale, a dark chocolate medallion filled with a liqueur cream. Paid garage quite close, there are some blue lines. Average prices.

We stopped for breakfast, we had the curly and shortcrust puff pastry, coffee and cappuccino, not the best but acceptable. Unsociable staff. The place is nice, there are several places to sit outside.

Unfortunately only the ruins of Scaturchio remain...inexplicable vertical fall.
The service remains good.

A truly exceptional coffee ☕️ which stands out for the richness of the flavor and the body of the Arabica, we are in the homeland of Espresso and therefore the record is more prestigious
