Wow!! We came here very randomly on our way to the hotel in another part of the island and we did not have a reservation. We were treated as honoured guests and the food was beyond our imagination! It is a must visit if you are traveling around this part of the island. I fell in love with italian food all over again.

Nice local service, well looked after, but from a quality/quantity point of view it remains below expectations, a plate of scampi and prawns for €25 includes 2 scampi cut in half just to fill you up and 4 prawns rather than prawns, medium-high prices, which would also be fine if you didn't leave with the desire to go back for lunch.

The atmosphere is very pleasant with subdued lighting. The food, especially the pizza, is truly delicious. The service is excellent. The owners, as well as the waiters, are very kind and helpful.

Despite a telephone reservation, there was no reservation in our name. We were seated at a table outside as requested when we made our reservation. After that, everything went very well. The food was good and arrived within a reasonable time. In short, we had a very good meal in a pleasant setting at the foot of the basilica.

By the time we ate at this restaurant on our way from Alghero to Palau, we had been traveling through Italy for just over two months and hands down, this was by far one of our best meals for sure. The servers were all very kind and friendly, the outdoor atmosphere was amazing and the food was unbelievable! I actually wrote this in Google translate to show the woman who seated us and I believe she was the owner; “We’ve been in Italy for just over two months on an 85 day trip starting in the North and traveling throughout all of Italy. This was one of our best meals and all your servers were very kind and patient with our bad Italian.” She was so sweet and grateful for my compliment and it was try’s and heartfelt for sure. If you’re anywhere close to the restaurant or even if you have to drive a little bit more then you wanted to, it’s so worth it!

On Sundays, some bread, croutons and fresh carasau bread would be nice to complete the service.

Die Gerichte waren außergewöhnlich lecker, super freundliches Personal und wir hatten hervorragende italienische Köstlichkeiten. Obwohl uns die Stadt nicht zugesagt hat, war das Restaurant einen Abend wert.

S'ena Frisca

01/09/2025: Excellent menu, warm welcome and exceptional location...+++
01/09/2025: Not your average agriturismo. As a Sardinian by adoption, I was looking for an agriturismo that, while focusing on traditional dishes and flavors, offered something different from the usual menu. S'ena Frisca met my expectations perfectly: six appetizers, a first course featuring excellent cured meats, and the others reflecting the chef's creativity and skill (but always with a keen eye for tradition, as demonstrated by the cannoli with fried mazza frissa and the stewed lumschine). Two first courses (not the usual ravioli and malloreddus) and finally, a must in Sardinia, the porcetto (pork suckling pig): lean but not dry, tender, fragrant, and with crispy rind: one of the best I've tasted in years. A choice of two desserts (not necessarily the traditional seadas) and a wide selection of digestifs. Everything is produced on-site, including the excellent wine, which is the fruit of a small estate vineyard. What else can I say? The setting, surrounded by greenery, with the subtle background sound of spring water (S"ena Frisca means, in fact, the fresh spring) is extremely evocative. The rooms are simple yet refined, and the staff is attentive, kind, and always available. The price, despite the superior quality, is in line with the competition. Highly recommended.
