A bright day in Oliena, the authentic heart of Barbagia. Among its quiet streets and houses guarding ancient knowledge, today I stopped at the Sa Panedda Pintà workshop, one of the living experiences of the Fatu in domo project – the home-based agri-food enterprise in Sardinia. The workshop comes to life in Denise Scano's home, where every gesture has the rhythm of handed-down traditions, and every corner tells stories of hands kneading roots.
As I leave, I leave them a small gift: the Fatu in domo book. A symbolic gesture, to give something back to those who have chosen to stay, create, and pass on their knowledge. It is more than a guide: it is a map for those seeking, even today, to rediscover the courage of everyday life and the strength to truly get their hands dirty.
Fatu in domo is this: a silent yet powerful movement, made up of women, families, courtyards, and burning ovens. A simple yet radical idea: to inhabit one's land, transforming it with care every day.
Long live Fatu in domo. The home-based agri-food enterprise in Sardinia
Because every home can be a business. And every dough, a political act.
