I'm from Tuscany, every time I go down I always stop at Russo, on the way there and on the way back to get the delicious mozzarella or sweets and other local products.

A hub of activity. You can grab a coffee, buy everything from meat to fantastic buffalo mozzarella, or have a takeaway sandwich made... or even sit at a table served or at the self-service restaurant of a good restaurant. The meat was strangely a little tough, but overall good.

A phenomenal lunch or breakfast to avoid the highway rest stops. Sandwiches with a cold cut, a cheese, and a pickled vegetable cost around €2.50-€3, offering a quality unmatched on the highway (and even in many grocery stores). The sfogliatelle are excellent (almost on par with Attanasio's in Naples), both ricce and frolle (the latter perhaps even better).

Dí ritorno da Roma ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante a Pastorano. Mozzarelle di bufala da urlo, prodotti di primissima qualità, cucina molto gustosa. Sicuramente rappresenta un’ottima sosta per chi vuol mangiar bene e portare a casa mozzarelle di bufala spettacolari. Consigliatissimo!!!

06/08/2025: The pizza is phenomenal, and the pizza selection is equally impressive. The atmosphere is excellent, both in terms of design and functionality, with air conditioning. The staff is friendly and professional. Definitely worth a try; I'll be back often.
