This exceeded expectations. The menu di giorno seemed expensive at 39 euro at lunch but the quality of the food was excellent. Best meal I have had this year in Sardinia. Wine and a litre of water and no cover charge No other tourists here just locals which is also a good sign. A must visit place if you like fish. The aperetivo with three different dishes was exceptional.

We've been to Sergio and Gaetana's several times, and have always had a great time. Excellent food and a warm welcome. Highly recommended.

Gluten-free food, even bread and pasta dishes with a dedicated station. Finally!
The manager was very helpful and friendly; the young waiter, however, was a little less so, as he didn't know how to make us feel at ease.
The place was well-kept. The pasta was a bit too al dente, but good.
The price was okay. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

A great choice for a quiet, traditional meal.
The customers are all locals.
I chose a piece of beef 🥩 served with salad, tomatoes 🍅, fries, and pecorino cheese served hot and melting on bread crepes... delicious.
My husband chose linguine with tomatoes and langoustines.
The plates were very well served.
Be careful ⚠️ I don't speak English or French, so bring a translator.
But everything is good, and there's always a daily special.

Appetizers: tuna in wine sauce & local cheeses: both very good. The tuna, in particular, was surprisingly delicious.
Mains: gnocchi with clams & bottarga were very good. You could really taste the spinach in gnocchi. I hadn't really discovered bottarga. And fregola marinara: tasty but way too salty for my taste.
The service was really attentive and friendly.

La Lanterna offers remarkably fresh cuisine, with daily produce that's evident in every bite.
The dishes are flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented: a true delight from start to finish.
The welcome is exceptionally warm; you immediately feel at home, with attentive and friendly service.
A must-visit in Carbonia for those who love good Italian/Sardinian cuisine and a friendly atmosphere.
I highly recommend it and will definitely return.
