Ristorante Picanha In Tropea

We ordered 1 kg of t-bone at the recommendation of one of the owners, and it was worth it. The ribs, however, were tough and stuck to the bone; they deserve a review. In any case, I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for the attention to detail shown by the wait staff. Recommended 👍🏽

Excellent appetizer and very tasty sliced steak

A pleasant discovery... While on vacation, we decided to treat ourselves twice, sampling various types of meat and side dishes. Everything was delicious. The owners were very kind. I highly recommend it!

We visited this beautiful steakhouse on August 9, 2025, and we highly recommend it. We received a very friendly welcome and were lucky to be seated spontaneously. The very courteous chef greeted us personally. For starters, we had the cold cuts and cheese platter, which featured not only three unforgettable cheeses (Barollo, Sbirro, and Turmeric cheese), but also delicious sausage and ham specialties (venison ham, wild boar salami, and black pork capocollo), complemented by a honey-soaked walnut, sweet-soaked figs, and typical Tropea onions – also sweetly soaked. Cheese lovers will especially love the Barollo cheese, which has a grape rim. As a cheese fan, I have rarely tasted such good cheese. For our alcoholic accompaniment, we had a white sparkling wine (a 1903 cuvée), which was beautifully presented in keeping with the atmosphere and kept at the perfect temperature on a chilled bottle rack. As a meat lover, I opted for the top tier of all beef for the main course: the 150g Kobe Wagyu beef. Unrivaled in marbling and caramelized during the cooking process, I received an incomparably tender and exceptionally flavorful steak, one I've rarely encountered in such a delicious form – wow! The restaurant is just outside the center of Tropea, but easily accessible, with ample parking. The meat is excellent and well-cooked. The side dishes could be improved. The service is excellent, and the owner's explanation of the dishes is precise and accurate.

Excellent selection of meats. This isn't your average restaurant; it's truly a restaurant of excellence, crafted down to the finest detail. No ingredient or composition is left to chance. The quality of the meat is superb, and the cooking is masterful. To complement this explosion of flavors, they have a vast selection of wines from all over the world, catering to both the less demanding and those seeking the finest vintages. The only downside is that I live 650 km away, so I won't be able to return every week. :)
