Today we had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. We couldn't have asked for anything better, starting with the service, continuing with the wonderful location, and being delighted by the excellently flavorful dishes. It will be a pleasure to return.

Beautiful setting and fantastic lunch. A little difficult to drive to but if you are doing the Grotto, short walk and right on the path.

The service was very friendly but unfortunately not well organized. I ordered mixed grilled meat with potatoes and a green salad – what can I say: despite asking several times, the potatoes were added for dessert. My water was also forgotten... My husband had the set menu, which included water and a glass of wine – even the wine was only served upon request. The food wasn't bad, the ambiance was great, but the poor organization of the service ruined everything....

A stunning structure nestled in a natural landscape above cave dwellings. It looks like a Gaudí-esque vision in the heart of Calabria! A little gem! This alone would be enough to make it worth a visit. Add to that the professionalism and kindness of the owner and staff, the delicious food, and the excellent wine, and you have everything you need for an unforgettable evening! We'll return again and again! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, our meal wasn't that great. My pasta with cream sauce tasted like nothing. Unfortunately, there was hardly any vegetarian option. The service was okay. The young waiters tried hard. However, we couldn't order any of the lunch menu items individually, and our dishes (especially the glass carafe) were dirty. The view and the location are great!

09/10/2025: A rejuvenating experience! We had the pleasure of being treated by Tiziana and Raffaella, and I can only express my gratitude for their professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness. Tiziana is extremely competent and exudes calm and confidence from the very first moment. Raffaella's precision made every treatment a true moment of well-being. The environment is meticulously maintained, clean, and relaxing: you feel pampered and at ease. I will definitely be back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to pamper themselves in expert hands.
03/09/2025: My wife and I vacationed in Calabria and chose to stay at the Popilia Resort, unfortunately only for one night. The location is wonderful, immersed in nature and offering complete relaxation. You can go for bike rides, long walks, or visit the gardens, lake, and animals. It's ideal for families, couples, and everyone. The pool is beautiful, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the entire restaurant menu are fantastic.

Incipit Restaurant

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏
