I always love coming to Rifugio Crucolo. The dishes are simple but of exceptional quality and reasonably priced. The grilled meat is flavorful and incredibly tender, the spinach strozzapreti flavored with coffee and melted butter, the antipasto with homemade products, Crucolo cheese, chanterelle mushrooms, cooked salami, and their special cured meats. The polenta with fondue and porcini mushrooms is incredibly popular. Homemade tart and parampampoli are a must, otherwise they'll throw you down the valley. 🫡 Downstairs, they have a wine cellar and a reserve of everything you'll find on the table, including a 42-meter-long soppressa and Tino, the piglet who watches you from his perch (not suitable for vegans 🤣👀🐷).

Eating at Crucolo is always a wonderful experience. On August 28th, I went there for lunch with my family. The dishes were all delicious, especially the porcini mushroom soup. At the end of the meal, the parampampoli arrived, and it was immediately a feast. The staff and owners were kind and helpful. The tour of the cellars was interesting. It's impossible to leave without purchasing their excellent cured meats, cheeses, and grappas. The price is reasonable.

Great atmosphere, not many people (maybe also due to the fact that it was the first day of September).
Excellent service. There are two of us, and we choose appetizers: I had dried meat on a bed of salad with Crucoli cheese, balsamic vinegar, and polenta; my husband had polenta with mushrooms and Crucoli cheese with cooked salami.
First course: trio of first courses for both of us.
We skip the main course because the portions are generous and we're full.
But I can't resist dessert. I let myself be persuaded and we try a selection... a selection of different cakes, all excellent!
One large beer, one small unfiltered beer, and one bottle of water.
One coffee and one Parampampoli.
Just under €70, I'd say a fair price. We're more than satisfied. 👍

The place is gorgeous. The food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The ability to purchase the (excellent) products directly from their cellar is wonderful, and it compels me to return every now and then to stock up. Highly recommended!
