Restaurant Rusterkeller In Lagundo

Wonderful ambience, very good food, attentive staff

We've been guests in Algund for years and regularly, often several times, at the Ruster Restaurant. The food was, as always, great, and the prices reasonable, even compared to other restaurants. The service, as always, was friendly and attentive. However, I really miss the South Tyrolean dialect of the service staff; they're increasingly speaking Italian, but we are in Italy after all :-) My only criticism, unfortunately, is the boss himself... I would expect a restaurateur and hotelier to at least briefly greet (not greet) his guests as they pass by. Two weeks ago on Sunday, we were at the beer garden for dinner, and some guests had asked the waiter to turn off the heaters because it was getting a bit chilly. At some point, Mr. Reinthaler came out, rather grumpy, walked past the guests without a quick greeting, and turned on the heaters. But as I said, this is our only "criticism," but it won't stop us from returning to the Ruster on our next vacation in Algund.

Delicious Tyrolean specialties and a wide selection of dishes. A beautiful garden and a great interior.

Nice ambiance and the food is delicious too, unfortunately we had to wait a long time for a waiter to come. The food and drinks came quickly, but it took forever for someone to pay, even though I had let the restaurant know that we wanted to pay. It's a shame, because it was great two days before.

My wife and I organised a lunch at Rusterkeller for 20 people after the wedding ceremony. The owner was nice to provide an area outside only for us. The meals and the decorations were incredible. We also had a small buffet as an appetizer. The staff was also very friendly and did an amazing job serving us.

Very good food at fair prices. The service was friendly, even though it was quite busy. Unfortunately, we sat for a while with empty glasses, even though the waiter was constantly passing by. They could have been a bit more attentive. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful evening there. Thank you very much.

We ate at the Rusterkeller for the first time in a long time. For lunch. And it was fantastic. The waiter led us upstairs to a lovely room with a view of the mountains. We hadn't heard of it before. We had the baked Camembert and the Herrengröstl (roasted pork risotto). It was cooked to perfection and the portions were perfectly adequate. The waiter was also friendly, attentive, and not at all pushy. We couldn't understand some of the negative reviews here during our visit. We will visit the Rusterkeller again next year.
