23/11/2024: If you are on the motorway near Padula, you absolutely must stop to eat at Picchio Nero. Nice, welcoming atmosphere in a modern style. The staff in the room were very kind and friendly, as well as professional. The food was all spectacular from the starters to the first courses and the meat-based second courses. But for me the 🔝 of the 🔝 were the pizzas. All leavened perfectly, with the right amount of salt, light, cooked perfectly with the great skill of the pizza chef and rolled out thinly with a high, crunchy edge. I ate the bufalina and went back 30 years, when I went to eat pizza at Negri's in Pontecagnano with my grandparents and parents. Truly spectacular. 13/10/2024: I give full marks for the pizza, which is more like a cloud than a pizza: very soft dough, leavened to perfection, perhaps the best marinara I've ever eaten. Other things to review, for example the Mediterranean fried food.
