Excellent experience, I had the pleasure of tasting Quafiz's menu and it was a memorable one. A perfect blend of local terroir and international influences. A very well-curated wine list for all tastes. The restaurant is in a renovated old farmhouse surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and lush prickly pear plants that frame a terrace with a manicured lawn and a beautiful pool. The Asprococktail was very nice, where I tasted a Calabrian juniper cocktail that I still remember fondly🍸. Highly recommended restaurant.

The compelling story of Chef Nino Rossi who, after a "pilgrimage" honing his craft in kitchens abroad, including a crucial stint in Switzerland and Rome,
decided to return to his region, the heart of Qafiz.
His mission is to honor the products of Calabria, showcasing its depth as a complex mix of different flavors sourced from the mountains, woods, and coast.
Ambiance and Location:
The place in itself is a masterful blending of modernity and tradition. Housed within an 18th-century villa and a former olive oil mill, the stunning modern design achieves a perfect harmony with the mountain area of Santa Cristina d’Aspromonte.
The remote, wild beauty of the Aspromonte acts as a serene, captivating backdrop to the elegant dining experience.
Impeccable Service:
The front-of-house team is a marvel of precision and warmth. The staff is kind and works and moves like a Swiss clock, with everyone knowing precisely what to do at each moment in time.
This seamless, unobtrusive efficiency allows guests to focus entirely on the culinary journey.
A special mention must go to Andrea the sommelier, who elevates the experience into some kind of art. He truly finds an almost poetic way to describe what you are tasting or eating, turning the act of selecting a glass of wine into a narrative of the region.
Cuisine and Wine:
The food is pure excellence that has deservedly earned a one-star recognition. Chef Rossi’s technique is precise, modern, and deeply rooted, making every dish a balanced, creative revelation. And the great wine list, focusing on artisanal and local excellence, will satisfy any palate.
I am completely persuaded that the journey is not over yet; this star is only the beginning.
Qafiz is not just an experience; it is a movement. I don’t know what more to say beyond urging any serious food lover to make the journey.

Calabria's best Michelin-starred restaurant, it brings the Calabrian brand abroad while remaining rooted in the Aspromonte region. It uses local flavors fused with international techniques. A strong bitter note characterizes all dishes, yet perfectly balances the flavors.
