We sincerely recommend this restaurant. We enjoy coming back every stop on a cruise. The welcome is warm, despite the language barrier we are always very well advised on the choice of our dishes. Its location is idyllic on the water's edge. My partner and I always have a great time. The pasta there is exceptional, tasty and hearty, a real treat!

This is one of about six restaurants in a row on the waterfront and we decided to stop for a drink. It’s a nice spot to relax and watch people go by or look out over the water. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly.

We stopped in this restaurant for lunch because it struck us at first sight and fortunately the visual impact confirmed the quality of the food and the efficiency of the staff. Extremely fresh food, seasoned to perfection, exquisite cuisine that we will return to enjoy again. Super recommended. (top scampi goodies) See you soon

26/12/2023: Ristorante "familiare" piacevole tanto per l'accoglienza quanto per la qualità dei prodotti di mare. Servizio accurato senza eccessi formali. Ottimo il risotto alla marinara.
01/10/2023: Pranzo del sabato in terrazzo, servizio molto attento, arredi migliorabili. Prodotti molto freschi, tartare ottime antipasti acquamarina buoni.

Sole bar & Restaurant

21/10/2025: We had a great dinner on Sunday night. The food was excellent and included unusual dishes (Norwegian salmon) as well as traditional Ligurian dishes. The sea bass in Ligurian sauce was better than the same dish at the Excelsior Hotel. They have an excellent wine list with many local wines (we are from Sonoma County and love local wines). The service was very attentive. I strongly recommend it. In fact we are returning tonight (two days later) rather than trying another restaurant in Rapallo.
20/10/2025: I'd start by saying that the restaurant's location is truly excellent. Yesterday we had lunch outside, right in front of the castle and just steps from the sea. We ordered a selection of raw fish, a fried dish, and seasoned octopus, along with a bottle of Vermentino. We spent €160.00 for two. In my opinion, it's a bit pricey for the little we ate; they probably charge for the location.
