It's not like in the past. Previously, when the owner's father was alive, there was even a queue to find a seat. It is also true that it has now expanded. But even in this pretentious. In fact, in my opinion it has become distorted as a Trattoria. It is neither a luxury restaurant nor a trattoria. A hybrid. The food isn't bad but there is definitely better. The pizza was cheap compared to its competitors. Still as small as now. Last Sunday I had a pizza stuffed with escarole. Which I also took before. Very salty and then the dough didn't convince me. There was one lady who when paying the bill said she loved the way they made the pizza. I don't know what the lady got but it's a matter of taste. Maybe because it was near August, the staff was very rude and not very attentive to my mother who had to call them three times or more to pay the bill. The appetizers, we had some fries but nothing special. The aubergine meatball felt more like bread than aubergine. No, I don't recommend it. Unless you're hungry and it can be a decent place to fill your belly.

Una trattoria napoletana, dedicata ai napoletani, che cucina napoletano e fa una pizza eccezionale. Io non capisco le recensioni precedenti, probabilmente scritte da forestieri, che non capiscono l’anima di questa città. Nella trattoria c’è familiarità, se è “in” significa che non è una trattoria ma una brutta imitazione. Da Cilea si sente la famiglia, che prima di portarti il piatto successivo ti chiede se sei a posto o se l’ordine è confermato. Si sente l’aria vera di Napoli, dove ai tavoli ancora si concorda col personale chi paga il conto. Se non conosci questo gesto di galateo che evita imbarazzi e incomprensioni, meglio che da Cilea non ci vieni, perché non potrai mai capire la nobiltà napoletana.

Locale un po' datato e da rinnovare, ma pizza molto buona. Ho provato tre grandi classiche: margherita, marinara e salsiccia e friarielli. Tutte e tre ottime, soprattutto la marinara.
