Pizzeria Il Giogo In Viadana

Very nice pizzeria and staff, super hostess!

When you enter Giogo, you travel back in time because it's a place full of objects from the past: traditional tools, implements, and instruments I don't even know the names of because they've given way to modern appliances (like the butter whisk, for example!)...in short, it's part pizzeria, part museum. The pizza I always order is with pumpkin and gorgonzola: delicious, delicious, delicious! For those who prefer a vegetarian alternative, there's always a trolley of cooked vegetables, gratins, frittatas, quiches—in short, a wonderful array of options. Adele is always there at the entrance to welcome everyone, behind the counter adorned with a different bouquet of flowers every time!

I returned to this pizzeria after more than a decade...a historic local pizzeria. I must say that I remembered the pizza being very good, and it remained that way...if not improved. Numerous pizzas with excellent toppings and top-quality ingredients...with a long leavening time to make it digestible. The prices are more than fair...the service is young and cheerful. The place is noisy (but it was Saturday night). Convenient parking in front of the restaurant.
