23/11/2025: Right on the seafront, in the Bay of Silence, Sestri Levante. Delicious, well-crafted cocktails, good service, average prices, but the location is worth a visit.
23/10/2025: The "Baia del Silenzio" is arguably one of the most beautiful bays in Italy. It's no coincidence that many travel magazines have featured it on their covers. During the day, depending on your taste and the stretch of beach, it's probably equally beautiful everywhere. When the sun begins to leave this bay, however, there's only one place to end the day: the "Citto Beach Bar." If Sestri Levante were a jet-set destination, it would be described as a haunt of the rich and beautiful. Whether that's the case here, we're not at all in a position to judge. Yes, the "beautiful" is represented here, as is the "ordinary," and we don't need to elaborate on that, because ultimately, it doesn't matter. What is important, however, is that it's probably one of the spots in town that basks in the sun the longest. Don't arrive too early, but don't arrive too late either. There are good drinks, as well as a bottle of wine, such as a nearby Vermentino, which pairs well with the atmosphere here. As is often the case in Italy at this time of day, "appetizers" are served, making it easier for those who are used to eating early by Italian standards to adjust to Italian life. Stroll through the city, keeping in mind that, at least on weekends or during peak season, a table for dinner should already be reserved by 9:00 p.m. However, if you'd like, you could also just stop by for a nightcap.
