Decent pizza with crunchy but thin and slightly leavened dough. Alveolation almost non-existent in the center, barely perceptible at the edges, with poorly hydrated paste. Forget contemporary pizza…
Personally, I would have left it in the oven a little longer, to give the dough more browning: to the eye it was a little too light, seeming undercooked.
Sensations…
The appearance, very thin, gave the impression of a not very rich topping, as if it had been filled with the bare minimum.
However, the taste and flavor of the ingredients appeared to be well balanced, above all without exceeding in flavour.
Another good feature: excellent digestibility of food. I would define it as an almost fit pizza.
Furthermore… positive quality-price ratio.
Overall: decent pizza, appreciable, without incisiveness and without the "wow effect!".
The service was also discreet: fast and efficient. Some staff members, however, gave the impression of little professionalism, almost betraying improvisation. A feeling strengthened by the fact that none of them were wearing uniforms. But the style, as we know, is that of a very informal place…
Over the years, the restaurant has improved the appearance perceived from the outside: much brighter and more welcoming from the outside. Almost more visible, more flashy.
Inside, however, it has remained the same as always: no improvements can be seen in the furnishings or walls. Instead, the signs of time, yes, are starting to show. With a few small tweaks, perhaps, it would become more welcoming and pleasant. Now it would be defined as a not very instagrammable place. Not that this is a flaw. What weighs most is the lack of identity, of personality which makes the environment, where the glories of the 80s still echo, rather anonymous and bare.
Exquisitely personal opinion, it goes without saying…
