09/09/2025: Excellent pizzeria, nice discovery!
06/08/2025: We stumbled upon this pizzeria by chance, following directions found online. The place is cute, and the people who welcomed us were very kind.
We ordered a regular Margherita, a buffalo mozzarella, and one with mortadella and pistachios.
The pizzas weren't the best, and based on the reviews, I expected better.
We couldn't quite decide on the dough: thin pizza, but neither soft nor crispy; I'd almost say it was dry. Probably, given the late hour, it hadn't risen properly, or the oven wasn't at the right temperature.
In any case, the downsides include the completely dry buffalo mozzarella, whereas this type of mozzarella releases much more milk, which would have softened the dough, adding texture and flavor (the photo highlights this problem). The mortadella and pistachios, with round slices of packaged supermarket mortadella, lacked flavor, whereas I was expecting a nice, large, fresh slice from a deli.
Perhaps the best was the plain Margherita.
It must have been an exceptional case, reading the other reviews, but for us it was just a decent experience.
I'll be back to try again at the first opportunity.
