23/12/2025: A very nice restaurant with a lovely tavern atmosphere, but with more refined dishes.
It goes without saying that the meat is the star here, cooked very well and using premium cuts.
As an appetizer, we had a crostone (a slice of bread) split in two, which was quite good, although we expected it to be more flavorful. In any case, the crostone was excellently cooked and presented.
Then:
- mutton skewers, excellent, well-cooked and beautifully presented, excellent flavor and tender meat.
- fillet with porcini mushrooms, good, with tender meat, although the cooking made it slightly stringy.
Very kind, cheerful, fast, and never oppressive service: perfect!
A very, very interesting place, definitely worth trying.
16/12/2025: We ate at this osteria for the first time, and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful in the historic center of Tarquinia, and the service is excellent, with professional and friendly staff. We ordered the cured meats and cheese platter: delicious!! Then we had two tagliata (sliced steaks): one with caramelized onion and pecorino, and another with rosemary. They were truly delicious and perfectly cooked. As a side, we had two sautéed chicory leaves. The house desserts were also excellent, including tiramisu and torta terra. The house red wine by the glass is highly recommended.
We'll definitely be back.
