Fried octopus and anchovies and fried paranza (without salt but it's fine anyway) It's a shame they don't have a restaurant but only outdoor tables.

Perfect frying, good house wine and fresh products. I come here every time I'm in Ostia, taste the cuisine and it's spectacular.

The shop is little but is easy to find. Near the center square of commercial zone of Ostia, it pffer various dishes, about all of them with fish. I'm used to buy fried squid and shrimps, that is 12€ plus half of wine for 4 €. Yesterday was particular because some people did badmouth about first course pasta with shrimp, clams, mussel and tomato( Scoglio). Even this is for 12€ , really good and well cooked but you have to wait some minutes before eat it from the tray. Final, evaluation about shop is really good, almost eccellente: the service is fast and the owner is gentle and really helpful. She help tourist by giving information and often i'd seen her let people seat even if the chair seat are really not many in the restaurant. Outside there are about 26 place to sit while inside another 14 for a total of 40. Really a place to go for eating good fish by paying low price and getting big fish(, fried squid and shrimp about 350 g). You can est for less of 15€. Enjoy it :)

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Sono disponibili fritti ed altri piatti di mare gluten free . Porzioni abbondanti, atmosfera simpatica e familiare. La titolare è molto gentile. Un posto informale perfetto per un pranzo o una cenetta veloce. Locale piccolo ma molto pulito e ben organizzato.

REVIEW UPDATED 2024 We returned after 4 years and I must confirm the notable changes highlighted in the various reviews. Let's start from the fact that the service has definitely changed, without a smile and with the same forced instructions to potential customers "there is a sign outside, read, order, pay and wait at the table". Looking at the photo of the mixed fry from 4 years ago to the one today, the portions have decreased (and it could be a choice for a new marketing policy for your restaurant). Anomaly on the receipt... The only item present is "Drinks" with the total price of the order, no dish that was ordered was included on the receipt (could it be another marketing policy?). The service offered by the staff should certainly be reviewed, starting from the greeting to the treatment itself during consumption. 2020 REVIEW Always fresh fish even on cold winter days. Small and welcoming place. In summer you usually have to wait about a quarter of an hour to get a seat and enjoy the flavors of the sea with a glass of wine. Definitely not to be missed. Excellent quality - price.

Venerdì scorso, complice una bellissima giornata di sole, con mia moglie abbiamo fatto una bella e salutare passeggiata sul lungomare di Ostia che, in questo particolare periodo dell'anno, è estremamente bello e rilassante. Per pranzo siamo stati in questo piccolo locale che già conoscevamo. Entrando siamo stati subito accolti dalla simpatica e calorosa attenzione del Comandante Alfredo con il quale ho poi scambiato qualche simpatica battuta e casualmente ricordato alcuni personaggi che hanno fatto onore alla marineria di Ostia degli anni '70. Cosa raccontare???? In questo locale il sabato e la domenica si deve fare la fila ma ne vale la pena! Il motivo di tanto successo è presto detto: si serve solo pesce fresco lavorato secondo le semplici ma fondamentali regole della buona frittura italiana che prevedono olio pulito portato alla giusta temperatura e NIENTE SALE come invece usano molti ristoratori/lazzaroni per nascondere le magagne di una materia prima forse compromessa. Abbiamo mangiato una frittura di calamari e gamberi, una di soli calamari, patatine fritte e poi baccalà fritto...forse abbiamo esagerato ma il tutto è risultato leggero e digeribilissimo. Le porzioni servite al "Pesce fritto e baccalà" risultano sempre abbondanti, il servizio è semplice ma attento e molto cortese, i prezzi più che convenienti. Insomma.... qui ti puoi fare tranquillamente una bella abbuffata di ottimo pesce fritto! Mentre pranzavamo ho visto portare al tavolo vicino una bella fiamminga di tonnarelli allo scoglio.....erano molto ben conditi.....poi alici di bella pezzatura.......Alfrè......ci vediamo presto!....Un sincero grazie a tutta la brigata di cucina!
