For us, it's become a Sunday habit in Ostia: a simple place, yet capable of providing great satisfaction. The fried food is marvelous—golden, light, and crispy calamari, with no unpleasant odors or greasy hands, just freshness and skill in the kitchen. Over time, we've also tasted baby octopus, mixed seafood, anchovies, cod, and various other first courses from the chef, and each time it's a confirmation. With fair prices and a consistently friendly staff, it's a place we'll gladly return to.

I ordered pasta with seafood, it was delicious! The size of portion was good and it’s wasn’t expensive. Seafood was fresh and tasted good.

Forgive me for two things:
1. The review is long (it's worth getting to the end).
2. I have great self-confidence in the kitchen (call it presumption).
If I had a second life, I would have imagined it in the kitchen. Not as a Michelin-starred chef—I'm not interested—but as a cooking teacher, teaching future chefs physics, chemistry, and anatomy: fundamental laws for truly understanding what happens in the pan.
When I encounter a dish that's perfect, both in technique and choice of ingredients, I often say to the chef: "Just the way I make it." It's not arrogance, it's an observation.
And let's get to the point: I enter this place for the first time, with its simple, spartan, no-frills appearance.
And there... the surprise. Fried foods that I would call works of art: impeccable technique, no unpleasant odors, a light fragrance, and textbook crunchiness. I tasted a bit of everything.
The only "bitter" note? This time I had to admit:
"It's better fried than I make it."

Perfect fried food, good house wine, and fresh ingredients. The scampi cream gnocchi, bruschetta, and, of course, the fried apples are highly recommended.

Piccola friggitoria (che prepara però anche primi) da asporto o per una consumazione veloce sui piccoli tavoli esterni. Non si prenota, ma il posto è assicurato dal rapido ricambio dei commensali.
Fritti leggeri e buoni. Prezzi giusti.
