Pasticceria Traverso In Genova

I'm rarely in the area, and I've been meaning to stop for a taste for a long time; the name is very well known in the city, and as always in these cases, I hope that the premises are not disappointed... The place is extremely elegant and tasteful: not only does it almost clash with the surrounding environment, but it really feels like being in a Turin cafe!! Wholemeal with raspberries and Venetian with zabaglione. The dough and the puff pastry are truly exceptional, as is the raspberry jam (minus the zabaglione, an often 'difficult' cream of which I have rarely found the exact form, but still good). The only comment I feel like making is the opulence: if I have excellent ingredients, pushing on the quantity doesn't necessarily improve the result, even from a banally 'mechanical' point of view; I believe that between the greed of certain Genoese restaurants and too much, there are virtuous middle solutions :-)

Top breakfasts, top quality pastries

Abbiamo chiesto una torta per la prima comunione che avesse come tema le farfalle….e stato realizzata esattamente come la volevamo, sia di estetica che di ingredienti. Curata nei particolari e nell’ accostamento dei colori. E’ stata consegnata il giorno stesso al ristorante. Il pasticcere ci ha seguito nell’idea, e questo ha fatto la differenza rispetto a tutti gli altri, dove il confronto con il cliente è risultato minimo se non assente.

High and excellent quality pastries, from cakes to mini portions, a wide choice of pastries, brioches, and many other delicacies to try!!!! whatever I got was sublime, every time I'm there I would take it all home!! Francesco, a very good and extraordinary pastry chef and his staff, very kind people 👍always ready to satisfy any request I 100% recommend the Traverso pastry shop always at the TOP !!!!!!!!

Good pastry shop, good service, nice environment.

I didn't find a clean table, but perhaps other customers had just left. The desserts tasted EXCELLENT and the cappuccino was good. Well done
